The creative activist…
A person who uses thought or imagination to catalyze positive change in the world.
Lacie White is a Wellness Consultant and Yoga Teacher based out of Sydney, Australia.
Forever determined and passionate about supporting vulnerable populations that face the adversities of internal disorder, Lacie has finally discovered her path of service.
As a Survivor of Domestic Abuse, over the last decade Lacie’s occupational pursuits have been orientated towards fields related to Positive Behaviour Support, Therapeutic Intervention, and Trauma-Informed Practices.
After Lacie completed her advanced training in Yoga for Trauma & Mental Health, she finally understood what Holistic Wellbeing truly meant.
Her personal journey has led her to craft unique programs and pathways to serve humanity in the way of health and wellbeing.
Her methods are devised for prevention, reduction and management of stress, anxiety, depression and to reduce the exposure to trauma so that we may all live from a state of abundance and freedom, rather than from a state of fear and lack.
Below Lacie shares her discovery of Yoga.
“I found yoga while I was travelling through Western Canada, living in Whitecourt, AB, it became a very lonely experience. I was isolated from family and friends and I was living a very unhealthy lifestyle, I started to gain weight and to battle with depressing thoughts. There were not many options to occupy your time or attention in this small town of approx. 10, 000 people, but there was a yoga studio and I was desperate for change. From my past trials in yoga classes, what had seemed like a boring stretch class, now felt to me like therapy.
After experiencing a regular yoga practice, I sought out my pathway to study the system that was so gratefully serving my own wellness journey. Without any intent to become a yoga teacher, I completed my yoga training certificate in 2016. I wanted the principles and lifestyle to become a part of me and not just a trend that would come in and out of my life. I invited parts of this system into my life that supported me for the time, place and circumstance I was in.
Fast forward to 2020, I found myself in a new country on the other side of the world, during the most unprecedented times in history. Again, I found myself battling the dis-ease that was manifesting in all parts of me, I felt disconnected from my body, I felt emotionally avoidant, confused and I was intellectually frustrated and overwhelmed. It was time to reintroduce the yoga system into my life, it was time to level up on my knowledge and personal practice.
In 2021 , during the second lock-down in Sydney, Australia, I moved into a Yoga Ashram. Govinda Valley is an Intentional Yoga Community, located south of Sydney. Within this community we practice, not only the yoga system, but we also practice conscious living and spiritual connection. Here, I studied, taught and practiced the all-encompassing system that is Yoga.
The Yoga system has significantly expedited my healing and wellness journey.”

“If you are here to help me, you are wasting your time. But if you have come because your liberation is tied up with mine, then let us work together.”
