Improved Daily Living
Mindful Movement helps clients to improve their physical function. With improved strength, flexibly, mobility, and coordination this will make everyday tasks easier to preform and will also reduce the risk of injury. When tension in the physical body is reduced this will be directly reflected in the individuals mental and emotional state. Our sessions are designed to reduce stress and anxiety, thus improving daily living. Participants will experience improved sleep quality, an increase in energy levels and improved states of mood.

Innovative Community Participation
Mindful Movement sessions are mortified and designed to meet the needs of people with all types of disabilities, making it a more accessible form of exercise and community participation. Sessions have proven to improve mental health and reduce stress, which will make it easier for people with disabilities to participate in community activities. Our trauma-informed sessions will build confidence and self-esteem in participants which will encourage more engagement in social life and activities. We remove the stigma and isolation felt by people with disabilities and create an all-inclusive environment. Participants will experience a felt sense of agency over their own bodies and minds.

Improved Health & Wellbeing
All sessions are mind-body practices that are supported by centuries of evidence-based theory to prove enhancements in overall wellbeing. The practices are facilitated by offering participants choice, the opportunity to experience the present moment, and to taking effective action over their own body and mind. Living with disability can leave a person feeling overwhelmed with their their life’s experience, our specialized sessions will bring a familiarity of homeostasis into the whole being of the particiapnt.

Social, Economic, Community Participation
Mindful Movements community events remove the stigma and barriers of exclusion from social activities. All external activities are ensure to offer full accessibility, adequate support, with diverse attendees. We take the additional steps in planning events and sessions to ensure inclusivity. We work with families and coordinators to arrange transportation, carers and personal assists.

Our sessions gently reverse the felt sense of entrapment/helplessness and disempowerment, so that a person is able to identify that choices are available to them, and therefore they will learn how to listen to their body and their emotions to make an informed decision of response.

Sessions will improve the functionality of day to day tasks, such as, getting dressed, bathing, and eating. Over time, the participant will increase their independent selfcare capabilities.

Participants will develop new skills for self-efficacy and self-regulation. Over time, sessions build inner-belief and resilience to achieve new attributes and habits for continued achievements in ones life.

Participants will be engaged through play and empowerment, they will feel the felt sense of belonging and contribution within a group dynamic. This will instil new motivation to reach further goals, such as employment and continued education.
